A show of new photographs by Andrew Owen is opening at the Gospel Flat Showspace on June 19th, 5p.
Lovers and Friends is an exhibition of dance floor photographs and portraits by Andrew Owen made over the past three years using a pocket-sized disposable 35mm camera. The title of the show borrows from the Lovers and Friends party series held in Point Reyes Station where this body of work began in 2023. In making these pictures the artist discovered a new style of photographing — quick, unprecious, off-balance, arm extended, mid-stride, fully intuitive.
Join us for an opening reception June 19th from 5p-8p at the Bolinas Farmstand, 208 Olema Bolinas Rd.
There will be an additional reception July 3rd, 5-8p followed by the Lovers and Friends Dance Party at the Old Western Saloon, Point Reyes Station !
